WILMADENE SCHMIDT, 97, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday September 12, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 25, 1921 in Union City, Indiana to the late Ralph & Lulu Keltner Newlon. Wilmadene was a member of the First Christian Church, Euchre Club, Elks, was a seamstress, a gardener, and loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include children; Sue Jackson-U.C., Indiana, Joan Lorton-U.C., Ohio, John (Kathleen) Schmidt Jr.-Greenville, Ohio; grandchildren, Julie Jackson, William (Sondra) Jackson, Daniel E. (Heather) Jackson, Anthony (Heidi) Jackson, Lainie (Gary) Godfrey, John Lorton, Corey (Kristen) Schmidt, Allison (Vince) Saulnier; 17 great grandchildren; sister, June Lehman-U.C., Indiana.
She was preceded by her parents; 2 son-in-laws, Ollie Jackson, Phil Lorton; 2 brothers, 1 sister
Services will be Saturday September 15, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Reichard Funeral Home Inc. 400 W. Deerfield Road Union City, Indiana with visitation 1 Hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Union City Cemetery.
