Steve Forbes

  Steve Forbes, 67, of Union City, Indiana passed away Wednesday September 5, 2012 after a brief battle with cancer.  Steve had moved to Union City in February of this year, and felt blessed to have lived in the area and to have met such wonderful friends in his short time here.  Steve was proud to have served in the United States Air Force, and ended his career working as a financial controller for a major corporation in the Atlanta, Georgia area.

  He is survived by his children; Elizabeth (Michael) Guymon of Atlanta, GA, Laura Forbes of Nashua, NH, Joshua Forbes, and Christina Forbes both of Atlanta, GA; two grandsons, Benjamin Guymon and Lucas Guymon; and siblings Margaret “Peg” (Tom) Janssen of Goodyear, AZ, Connie (Len) Rybak of Springfield, IL, Doug (Tracy Hofer) Forbes of Stevens Point, WI, Scott (Deb) Forbes of Indianapolis, IN, Jodi (Jack) Cotter of Ridgeville, IN, and MaryPat (Josie) Forbes of Indianapolis, IN.

  Services will be held Saturday September 15, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Auditorium of the Hoosier Place apartments at 310 N. Walnut St. Union City, Indiana 47390.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Services of Randolph County, 133 N.
