Roy Lee Keagy 91 of Union City passed away on October 9, 2024, at St. Vincent Randolph Hospital in Winchester. He was born on July 16, 1933, to the late Russell Keagy and Ruth (Blackford) Keagy.
Roy served his country in the United States Navy. He worked for Triangle Pacific for 40 years, and the City of Union City since 1992. His hobbies included bowling, fishing, and playing the organ.
Survivors include his children Steve Keagy of Lebanon, OH, David Keagy (Karla Neubler) of Ellenton Florida, Mark Keagy of Union City, Julie Gerling of Union City, IN, Emily Cox (Matthew Schricker) of Union City, IN, grandchildren, Jamie (Suann) Wright of Union City, IN, Amanda (Andy) Abel of Winchester, IN, Traci (Joshua) Flesher of Winchester, IN, Natasha Gerling of Winchester, IN, Ashley Gerling of Richmond, IN, Brittany Cox (Chuck Veach) of Union City, IN, Adam Cox (Brittanny Shiverdecker) of Union City, OH, Jonathan Cox (Shannon Glattli) of Portland, IN, Tyler Cox (Alexis Foster) of Muncie, IN, twenty six great grandchildren, special friend Norma Moore of Delphos, OH, Deborah Schricker of Union City, IN, and several nieces nephews and family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Irene Keagy, siblings, Eilene Courtney, Francis Corbly, Alice Keagy, Velma Rush, Eugene Keagy “Beanie”, Willodene Drieling, grandchildren Travis Keagy, Megan Cox, and Navy buddy Donald Moore.
The family will receive visitors on Friday October 18, 2024, from 4-8pm, at Reichard Funeral Home 400 W. Deerfield Road Union City, IN 47390.
Funeral Services will take place on Saturday October 19, 2024, at 12:00 noon with burial in Union City Cemetery.
