Rickie Gene Hunt

Rickie Gene Hunt, 69, Union City, OH passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. He was born in Greenville, OH on July 25, 1952, to the late Lester and Ettaleene (Irwin) Hunt.

Rickie worked at the Union City Body Company for many years until his retirement. In his spare time he enjoyed attending tractor pulls, NASCAR, spending time with his family and grandkids, as well as mowing his yard. He was the founding member of the Darke County tractor pulls.

Survivors include his significant other Cindy Davis of Union City, OH, children; Jason Hunt of Union City, OH and Jessica (Andy) Byram of Union City, OH, brother; Jack (Sherry) Hunt of Greenville, OH, grandchildren; Alison, Emily, and Nathan.

Funeral services will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Rick and I spent a lot of time together back in the 60s and 70s working on cars and going to drag races, tractor pulls, demo derbies, and Eldora. We had a lot of fun times together.

I was so sorry to hear this. I knew Rick from the time he was a little boy 9 or 10 years old. Always polite and pleasant and a little stinker too.
I will miss seeing him now and then just to chat. RIP my little buddy.
