Richard 'Dickie' Johns

RICHARD A. “Dickie” JOHNS, 77, passed away Thursday November 3, 2016 at his residence after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born October 14, 1939 to the late Lester & Norma (Shunk) Johns.
Richard worked for 18 yrs. at the Union City Body Company and also worked for Livingston Paint in Union City, Ohio for 26 Yrs retiring in 2009. Richard enjoyed helping Bill & Roxanne Stocksdale farm for many years, watching sports, camping, fishing, and was active in Boy Scout Troop #184 for many years.
  He is survived by; his wife of 49 Yrs., Patricia I. (Bannon) Johns; children, Brenda (Rick) Crowell of Winchester, Ind., Ricky Johns of U.C., Ohio, Rodney (Lori) Johns of U.C., Ind., Richard A. (Teresa) Johns II of U.C., Ind., Scott (Amy) Johns of Greenville, Ohio, Angela (Nick) Hudgens of U.C., Ohio; 28 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Bea Guthrie of U.C., Ind., Patty Lippard of Indpls., Ind.; a brother, Walter Johns of U.C., Ohio; nieces and nephews also.
Richard was preceded by his parents; 4 brothers, John Quensenberry, Jerry Johns, Ronnie Johns, and Warren Johns; and a sister, Phyllis Warvel.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Monday November 7, 2016 at the Reichard Funeral Home Inc., 400 W. Deerfield Road, Union City, Indiana.  Memorial  services are 7:00 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Sonny Pettie officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.  Memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart Hospice with envelopes at the funeral Home.
