Richard Alan Hutchison

• Richard Alan Hutchison, age 63, of Union City, Indiana, went to be with the Lord Sunday, November 7, 2021.

Born January 18, 1958, in Somerset, Kentucky to Margie Anderson and Clyde Hutchison. Richard grew up in Union City, Indiana and attended Union City Community High School. He served in the United States Army from 1975 to 1981.
Richard was a proud Army veteran. His favorite pastimes were spending time with his family, gardening, sports, including Indianapolis Colts and UCCHS football. He loved spending time with his dog, Duke. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 1534 and The American Legion Post 0158. Richard spent his last years dedicated to caring for his mother. Above all, Richard took the most pride in his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include, mother, Margie Anderson; children, Alan (April) Hutchison of Muscatine, Iowa, Sarah (Ben) Hollinger of New Madison, Ohio, Adam (Rebecca) Hutchison of New Paris, Ohio, Paul (Anne) Hutchison, of Richmond, Indiana; lifelong friend, Darlene Hutchison; siblings, JR Hutchison, Melinda Shoemaker, Tonya (Mark) Addington, grandchildren; Hailey & Mallie Kreiner, Hutch & Paisley Hollinger, Charles Hutchison, and Eleanor Hutchison, nieces & nephews; Nathan Hutchison, Tyler (Karin) Shoemaker, Logan (Makayla) Shoemaker, Grant (Brooke) Shoemaker, Gracie Shoemaker, Mark Jr. (Heather) Addington, Katie (Anthony) Dickey, Chelsea (Mason) Wine, and Allison Addington.
He is preceded in death by his father; Clyde Hutchison and brother; Larry Hutchison.
Visitation for Richard will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Reichard Funeral Home. A short service will follow at 4:00 p.m. Private military burial service to be held at a later date.
