Randall L. Threewits, 64, of Delray Beach, Florida passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020 at the Delray Medical Center â Trustbridge Hospice Center.

Randy was born May 2, 1956 in Union City, Indiana to Ralph and Phyllis Runkle Threewits. He was a 1974 graduate of Union City Community High School. Heâ¯completed his Bachelorâs degree atâ¯Indiana University andâ¯received his Masterâs degreeâ¯at Purdue University.

After graduating from high school and before entering college, Randy had the opportunity to participate in a three-week European tour with âAmericaâs Youth in Concert,â presenting concerts in â¯England, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Austria and Italy with the final concert in New York City. This interest in music followed Randy all his life.â¯â¯â¯Heâ¯participated in choruses and theatrical productions in Florida.â¯Randyâ¯was in plays/musicals at the Willow Theatre in Boca Raton, Lake Worth Playhouse in Lake Worth, Florida and more recently Delray Beach Playhouse in Delray Beach, Florida.â¯Thisâ¯network of friends,â¯through the Delray Beach Playhouse,â¯becameâ¯Randyâsâ¯extended family in Florida.

Randy was owner of 3W Development LLC and partner in MyLines LLC.

Survivors include parents, Ralph and Phyllis Threewits of Union City, Indiana; siblings, Cheryl (Barry Hecker) Threewits of Pierceton, Indiana, Deborah (Joe) Clark of Hudson, Indiana and Steve (Marla) Threewits of Union City, Indiana; five nieces and nephews; twelve great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by nephewâ¯Zacharyâ¯Hecker and great nephew Cooper Hecker.
Randyâs friends in Florida describe him as âa true friend to the end, and he set a terrific example of how a human being, friend, son, brother, and community member should be. He was strong in himself, never one to give up and always had a smile on his face.â â¯The family is grateful for his âFlorida familyââ¯whoâ¯were there for him,â¯not only as he battled cancer,â¯but in the good times as well.â¯â¯These friendsâ¯have truly made a difference in his life.
For family and friends who wish to attend his Memorial Graveside service, it will beâ¯September 4, 2020 at 2:00 pm,â¯in the Lisbon Cemetery, Union City, IN.â¯Joe Clarkâ¯will be officiating. Please observe the COVID-19 social distancing guidelines if attending graveside services.
