Matthew Lewis

 Matthew Eugene Lewis, 34, of Union City, Ohio, passed away Monday, Dec. 16, 2013 in Dayton, Ohio. 
 He was born May 21, 1979 in Union City, Ind., to the late Randal Lee Lewis and Jo Ann (Meinerding) Keen of Union City, Ohio. He was employed as an insurance salesman. Matthew was a 1997 graduate of Union City Community High School. 
 May God keep Matthew safe on his journey. 
 Survivors include a son, Carter (Ace) Lewis; his mother, Jo Ann (Todd) Keen of Union City, Ohio; a sister, Ashley (William) Young of Lynn; two brothers, Todd and James Keen of Union City, Ohio; a grandfather, Gene Meinerding; grandparents, Leo (Marilyn) Lewis of Winchester, Indiana; a grandmother, Sheila Drew; two aunts, Cheryl Marcum and Becky (Greg) Harshman; an uncle, Tony (Vicki) Meinerding; cousins, Abby and Jay Harshman, Heather and Brandon Drew; and many friends who loved him very much. 
 He was preceded in death by his father, Randal Lee Lewis; a grandmother, Bennie Meinerding; and a grandfather, Hank Drew. 
 Matthew will be cremated and a private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. 
 Visitation is 3-5 p.m. Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the college fund for Carter William (Ace) Lewis at First Merchants Bank, Union City. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
