Marvin Cloyd Erwin, 88, passed away Wednesday August 22, 2018 at Wayne Hospital Hospice in Greenville, OH. He was born Sept. 1, 1929 to the late Leslie Erwin and Geraldine Bennett Erwin Brunslik.
Marvin served with the U.S. Navy on board the USS Ashland LSD in the 1950's, worked as an electrician in construction, then at Borg-Warner in Muncie, IN retiring from there in 1991. He enjoyed archery, working on his old cars (Hudson's), woodworking and bird watching. Marvin was a member of the Union City Church of the Brethren, Darke Countians for Wildlife Conservation, NAA Instructor and involved with the Junior Olympics.
Survivors include a son, Jeff Erwin of Greenville, OH; daughter, Sandy Erwin of Union City, OH; a grandson, Robert Erwin of Greenville, OH; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and grand-nieces and nephews also.
He was preceded by his parents; wife, Judy Cox Erwin; sisters, Maxine (Robert) Temple, Lois Kennedy; a brother Leslie Kelly (Beverly) McKinley.
Visitation is 5-7 P.M. Monday August 27, 2018 at the Reichard Funeral Home Inc., 400 W. Deerfield Rd., Union City, IN. Services are 10:30 A.M. Tuesday August 28, also at the funeral home with the Rev. Don Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Brethren Cemetery.
