Madonna (Kaufman) Hueber Key
Madonna left peacefully from home on December 15, 2020 after 92 years of healthy service. She was born October 21, 1928 to George and Ethel (Mosier) Kaufman, who preceded her in death.
For over 50 years Madonna faithfully served the Lord while teaching Bible school and Sunday school at Harrisville Christian Church. She was an avid seamstress fabricating tiny doll clothes to adult alterations and many mendings in between. She had a small "Hidden Stitch" sewing shop where she kept her sewing machine humming as she designed custom draperies and home decor for local homes and businesses including Whitaker's Floor Covering and Ingle Construction. In her latter years, she enjoyed making blankets for others while hoping to bring them comfort. Madonna enjoyed making noodles to share with The Pregnancy Care Center. As well, she had a green thumb for mums and was so proud to show them off for others to enjoy.
Madonna was preceded in death by her husband J.R. Hueber in 1994, then later by Donald Key in 2017 and siblings Delbert Kaufman, Evelyn (Ira) McNeely and Ardith (Robert) Webster.
Survivors include her sister; Roberta (Robert) Simmons; children, Melinda (Noel) Carpenter, Joe (Kelli) Hueber and Jennifer (Terry) McGuire; grandchildren, Andrea (Mike) Boval, Mark (LeiAnne) Lloyd, Darrick (Hettie) Hueber, Christina (Roger) Bowersock, Joe (Lora) Hueber and Trent (Anna) McGuire; she was "Grandma Donna" to many great and great-great grandchildren and "Aunt Donnie" to many nieces and nephews.
Due to current gathering restrictions there will be a small, private family service held in her memory with one hour of public viewing from 2-3 PM Saturday December 19, 2020 at the Reichard Funeral Home Inc.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Gideon Bibles or Wounded Warriors with envelopes available at the funeral home.
