Loretta Joyce (Aistrop) Boyd, 57, passed away on April 27, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. Loretta was born November 30, 1963 in St. Paul, Minnesota to the late Charlie Aistrop and Christine (Campbell) Pace. Loretta married John R. Boyd on December 24, 1981 in Winchester, IN.
Loretta enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Loretta and John were also foster parents to many children. She owned and operated a home daycare for several years. Loretta also loved to cook which led to her opening her own restaurant in Saratoga, Loretta's Kitchen.
Loretta is survived by her husband, John R. Boyd; her children Dennis (Hannah) Boyd, Chastity (Jeramy) Lay, Zack (Morgan) Boyd, Nathan Boyd, Ashley (Tyler Huffman) Boyd, Matt Boyd, Sonja (Caleb) Burk, Gabe (Sarah McIntosh) Boyd and Angel Boyd. Her siblings; Angela (Jim Simmons) Franklin, Carrie (Delbert) Pace, James Brewer and members of her foster family, the Wynn's. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 5pm to 6pm at Reichard Funeral Home, 400 West Deerfield Road, Union City, IN 47390. A memorial service will follow at 6pm with pastor Mike Burk officiating.
