Larry E Wilson Sr

Larry E. Wilson Sr., 70, passed away Tuesday September 3, 2019 in Union City, Indiana. Larry was born July 19, 1949 to the late Archie and Mildred Wilson.
After graduation he joined the Marines and served in Vietnam where he received a Purple Heart. He moved back to his hometown where he worked at UCBC/Workhorse until retirement. Larry always had a love for sports. He spent many years playing on local sport leagues. He volunteered many years of coaching softball and/or keeping stats for local teams. He spent the last few years keeping stats for the Union City Lady Indians, which he loved to talk about at every family gathering because he loved bragging about his Lady Indians. He also loved to watch all other UC Indian athletic teams. Larry was honored to serve on the UC Athletic Hall of Fame Committee.
Larry is survived by 2 Sons, Christopher (Olivia) Wilson-Greenville, Ohio, Larry (Shelly) Wilson Jr.-Modoc, Indiana; Grandson, Levi Wilson; Sister, Pamela (George) Wilson Conrad- Logansport, Indiana; Brother, Bill (Diana) Wilson-Ft. Worth, Texas; nieces, nephews , and many friends also survive.
He was preceded by his parents; 2 sisters, Marjorie Prescott and Sharon Kadlec.
A Memorial service will be held later at the convenience of the family.
