Kay J Gower

Kay J. Gower, 73, of Union City, OH passed away Wednesday afternoon August 8, 2012 at her home.  She was born June 4, 1939 to the late Arthur and Edith (Rismiller) Billenstein.  On May 9, 1959 she married James C. Gower who survives at home.

Also surviving are 3 children: Jeff and Laura Gower of Versailles, OH, Jerry (friend Ann Wolfe) Gower of Union City, OH, and Aaron and Annette Gower of Decatur, IN.  Grandchildren: Mark, Raymond, Kenneth, Kyle, Allison, Carissa, Nicole, Kristen, London, Parker, Liberty and Unity.  2 Sisters: Ruth Scholl of Union City and Nancy Peck of New York City, NY and stepmother Betty Billenstein of Union City, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Jay, and sister Elaine Caudell.

Kay was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Union City and retired from Mississinawa Valley Schools after 30 years.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 AM Monday August 13, 2012 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Union City, IN, with Pastor Gill Krouse officiating.  Interment will follow at Teegarden Cemetery.

Friends and family may call from 5-8 PM Sunday Aug. 12, 2012 at Reichard Funeral Home Union City, IN or 1 hour prior to services Monday at the Church.
