John W. "Red" Stewart Jr, 94, passed away Monday July 16th, 2018 at Pine Knoll in Winchester, IN. He was born September 12th, 1923 in Gallipolis, OH son of the late John W. and Lilly Mae (Bevan) Stewart Sr.
John owned and operated Ha-Ste Mop Factory in Union City, OH since 1958. His passion was in sales and he traveled the country selling his mops. He was well regarded in the industry and pioneered many new products. He belonged to Elks Lodge #1534, ISSA-International Sanitation Supply Association, USTA-United States Trotting Association, and also owned standard bred horses.
He is survived by his children, Jerry (SueAnne) Stewart of U.C., IN, Rob (Susan Linder) Stewart of U.C.,IN, Bevan Sue Stewart of Lebanon, OH; grandson, William Dale (Tiffany Newton) Stewart.
John was preceded by his parents; wife, Betty Stewart; 4 brothers, Roger Bevan, Emerson, Clifford, R.B. Stewart; sister, Norma Baker.
Graveside services are Saturday July 21st 11:00 A.M. at Miami Cemetery, 6379 Corwin Ave., Waynesville, OH. Calling is Friday July 20, 2018 from 1:00 till 2:00 at Reichard Funeral Home Inc. in Union City, Indiana.
