UNION CITY, IN - Jewell K. Fields, 91, passed away surrounded by family. She was born October 25, 1925 in Keno, KY, daughter of the late Thomas and Mallie Wilson Hancock.
She retired from Sheller-Globe Hardy's Division in Union City. Jewell loved to garden, flowers, sewing, shopping, garage sales, and flea markets. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Church and Eastern Star #444.
Survivors include her children, Gary L.(friend Joyce) New of New Castle, IN, Lisa (Tom) Hatton of U.C., IN; stepdaughter, Suzanne (Danny) Fields of Texas; stepson, Stephen (Margaret) Fields of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Shane (Patricia) New, Jared (Taylor) New, Gary L. (Leanor) New Jr., Angie Stewart, Darren (Darlene) New, Jamie L. New, Alania (Tony) Ditmar, Tisha (Tony) Banter, Thomas (Arielle) Hatton, Elijah Hatton, Crystal Schultz. 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Margie Anderson of Union City, IN, Vicky (Don) Hamlin of Burnside, KY; numerous other family and friends.
She was preceded by her parents, 1st husband, Kenneth Junior New "1981;" 2nd husband, Eldon Fields "2005;" son, Gale New "2014," daughter, Belva Joy New, grandson, Justin McGill, 3 sisters, Dorothy Jones, Pauline Calhoun, Betty New, 2 brothers, Tommy Hancock, Howard Hancock.
Visitation is 12 Noon - 2:00 P.M. Saturday June 10, at the Pleasant Hill Church. Services are 2:00 P.M. also at the church with the Rev. Bruce Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in the Union City Cemetery.
