Jeremy Todd Woods “Woody”, 50, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022. Jeremy was born November 5, 1972, in Winchester, IN. He graduated from Winchester Community High School & Ball State University. He was a 1995 graduate of the Indiana State Police Academy. Jeremy served with the state police for 26 years before retiring in August of this year. After retiring, he accepted a position with Austin Powder Company out of Cleveland, Ohio.
Jeremy was a loving husband, son, and a friend to many. He enjoyed his work and was well versed and steadfast in his career. He took his professional responsibilities and his commitment to his family and friends seriously. Anyone who truly knew Jeremy, could count on him to provide some quick, dry humor to just about any conversation.
Jeremy was a member of Farmland Conservation Club, Wild Turkey Federation, NRA, and attended Farmland Friends Church. He enjoyed power lifting in high school and college. Recently he enjoyed such things as deer hunting, fishing, watching Colts and/or Reds games, gardening, hobby farming, and/or raising chickens.
Survivors include his wife, Becky; stepsons, Joel (Christinna) Buckler, and Jaydon Buckler; mother Janice Cole, uncles; Bob Mills, Jerry Mills, aunt; Julie (Paul) Zimmerman, stepbrother Scott Cole (Beth), stepsister; Kimberly (Greg) Haynes, and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by Henry Cole, Robert and Orma Mills, and Jim and Grace McDonald.
Visitation will be held on Sunday December 4, 2022, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Farmland Friends Church, 8311 IN-32, Farmland, IN 47340.
Funeral Services will take place on Monday December 5, 2022, at 11:00 am at the church.
