Janice Elaine (Smith) Everett

Janice Elaine (Smith) Everett 72, of Greenville, OH passed away on March 25, 2023, at her residence.  She was born July 23, 1950, In Union City, IN to the late Cloyce Smith and Donnabelle Adams Smith.

Janice was a 1968 graduate of Union City High School. She worked for many years at Westinghouse as well as J-Tech. She was a former member of the Church of the Nazarene in Union City, IN and Emerson Baptist Church in Indianapolis, IN. She was a lifelong learner and enjoyed many activities such as playing piano, golfing, canoeing, camping, and fishing.  But more than these she loved butterflies.  Janice was much loved for her generosity, her humor, and her unmatched gift of gab.

Survivors include her son Alan Hodge II, brothers Daniel (Brenda) Smith, and Mike Smith all of Indianapolis.

A memorial service will be held on June 24, 2023, from noon to 1:00 pm at Wesley United Methodist Church 515 W Oak St, Union City, IN 47390. Services will begin at 1, with Rev. Scott Miller officiating.

She was preceded in death her parents, and a son John D. Everett Jr.
