ORGANIZATIONS/CLUBS: US Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict, enjoyed golf, nascar, cards and also coffee shops.  Served as Mayor of Union City, OH for 2 terms, was a former U.C. Ohio Police Chief, served on the Fire Dept., was a City Council Member and also worked for the water dept.

SURVIVED BY:  Wife of 37 years; Carol Nelson; Children; William “Bill” Nelson of U.C., OH, Terri (Kevin Savley) Pollock of Reynoldsburg, OH, Tim (Mindy) Walters of Ansonia, OH, Tony (Stephanie) Walters of U.C., IN and Susan (Dan) Denlinger of Eaton, OH.  10 Grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, a brother; Lowell (Mary) Nelson of Bradenton, FL, and a sister Jean (Lowell) Watkins of Indianapolis, IN.
