James T Leahey

 JAMES T. LEAHEY, 78, of Union City, IN passed away Wednesday Nov. 2, 2011 at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, OH.

  He was born July 13, 1933 in Union City, IN to the late James Martin and Mary Adine (Lyons) Leahey.  He retired from United Technologies (formerly Sheller-Globe) where he was a Data Processor.  He was an active member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Union City and also a past member of the Union City Elks Lodge #1534.

  Survivors include two brothers, Dr. Jerome (Eileen) Leahey of Union City, IN, and Dr. Patrick (Donna) Leahey of Madison, IN.  Nieces and nephews, Mary Ellen (James) Venable, Patti (Paul) Hresko, Michael Leahey, Laureen (John) Baetz, Kathleen (Steve) McAuliffe, Karen Leahey, Kelley (Rick) Hart and Jamey (Beth) Leahey.  Great nieces and nephews, Anna and Michael Venable, Nick and Kara Baetz, Danni and Amelia McAuliffe, Melisa, Kylee and Katrina Hart, Jamiah Manning, Patrick and Kate Leahey.

  He was preceded in death by his parents.

  Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Sunday Nov. 6, 2011 at the Reichard Funeral Home Inc. 400 W. Deerfield Rd. Union City, IN, with a Rosary Service at 7:30 PM.  Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Monday Nov. 7, 2011 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Mike McKinley officiating.  Burial will follow at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Union City, IN.
