JAMES RILEY DIEHL, 96, of Union City, Indiana passed away Monday November 2, 2015 at Pine Knoll Rehabilitation Center in Winchester, Indiana.
Jim was born July 24, 1919 in Venice, California. He was a Veterinarian for 30 years at Sharp & Diehl in Union City, Indiana; an Ohio State University graduate; a member of Elks Lodge #1534 and the Rotary Club both of Union City; U.S. Air Force Veteran and served as president of the board of directors for the Union Trust Bank for many years. Jim loved fishing, hunting, and playing golf.
Survivors include his 3 children; Larry (Laura) Diehl of West Lafayette, Indiana, Leslie (Don) Holben of Alpine, California, Lori (Paul) Host of Orlando, Florida; and a grandson, Riley James Diehl.
He was preceded by; his parents; 1st wife, Mary Jean Diehl; 2nd wife, Doris Diehl; and 2 sisters.
Services for Jim will be 2:00 P.M. Friday November 6, 2015 at Reichard Funeral Home Inc. 400 W. Deerfield Road Union City, Indiana. Calling will be from 1:00 P.M. until time of service Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at New Lisbon Cemetery with military burial rites conducted by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
