Ivan A Flaugh, 78, died May 6, 2020 at his residence in Winchester, Indiana. Ivan was born January 12, 1942, to John Albert and Doris (Wright) Flaugh, also of Winchester, Indiana.
He graduated from Lynn High School in 1960 and with an undergraduate teaching degree from Ball State in 1964. He returned to Ball State for his Masters in education and completed it in 1965. He married Linda June Miller, of Lynn, Indiana, on December 15, 1961, and was married for 58 years.
Ivan is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Vicki (Jeff) Mowery of Topeka, Indiana, Susan Stuckey of Brownsburg, Indiana, and Tim (Krista) Flaugh of Cedar Grove, Indiana; grandchildren, Tyler (Bethany) Mowery, Ryan Mowery, Kyle (Camille) Stuckey, Megan (Andy) Smith, Michelle (Nic) Raber, Stephanie Mowery, Jacob Flaugh, Josie Flaugh; three great-grandchildren; and cousin Jackie (Willard) Grubb.
Ivan was preceded in death by his parents, John Albert and Doris Flaugh.
Ivan taught at Winchester Community High School for 40 years and at the Richmond Ivy Tech Campus for an additional 10 years. He has been a farmer in the community for all of his life. He was a faithful member of Lynn Friends Church, serving in a variety of capacities. He also served on the Indiana Yearly Meeting Board for several years.
Ivan was a steadfast Christian who represented Christ to many people. He lived his faith daily by helping others through food pantry, mission trips, and local groups who reached out to those in need. Ivan made a positive impact on the many people he came into contact with throughout his lifetime and will be missed by all. We look forward to seeing him in Heaven!
Services are being coordinated by Reichard Funeral Home of Union City, Indiana. A private family viewing and service will be held at the convenience of the family. A public graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2020, at Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester, Indiana, at 3:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend the outdoor graveside services, adhering to social distancing guidelines.
