HAROLD D. HAWLEY, 90, of Winchester, Ind. passed away Monday November 2, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Harold was born January 15, 1925 in Redding, Ohio, son of the late Charles & Mildred Fox Hawley. Harold was a Union #19 Brick Layer for 50 years, served in U.S. Navy during WWII, was a member of Elks Lodge #1534 of Union City, American Legion Post #39, Moose #1977 both of Winchester, served in the National Guard for 23 years, loved to bowl, golf, and was a avid Falcons fan .
Survivors include; children, Becky (Paul) Beatty, Danny (Kim) Hawley, Doug Hawley, Kim (Bruce) Clevenger, Tammy (Todd) Abernathy, and Joe (Penny) Hawley all of Winchester, Ind.; grandchildren, Scott (Kerry) Beatty, Donnie (Beth) Beatty, Nicki (Kristen) Bosworth, Adam (Nikki) Clevenger, Christi Beatty, Kevin (Brittany) Abernathy, Kyle (Michele) Abernathy, Derrick ( Kandice) Clevenger, Zachary Hawley, Tyler (Jamie) Clevenger, Lance Hawley, Logan Hawley, Chelsea (Travic) Wickersham; 22 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; siblings, Carolyn Grubbs, Dave (Peggy) Hawley, Sharon Detro; several nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by; his parents; wife, Nadine Shelley Hawley; daughter-in-law, Tess Hawley; brothers, Charles, Jack, and Ezra Hawley; sister, Joan Ertle.
Visitation will be 5-8 P.M. Friday November 6, 2015 at Main St. Christian Church, 220 South Main St., Winchester, Ind. Funeral services are 10:30 A.M. Saturday November 7, 2015 also at the church with the Rev. Becky Merriman Gibbons officiating. Burial will follow in Fountain Park Cemetery Winchester, Ind., military burial rites will be conducted by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
