Glenn Eugene Wenger went home to be with the Lord on August 9, 2021. He was welcomed into heaven by his wife of 63 years Wilma Wavelene (Hart) Wenger.
Glenn was born June 21, 1922 to Harry and Della (Brewer) Wenger. He was preceded in death by his brother, Virgil Wenger and sister, Evelyn (Wenger) Loy.
Those left to cherish his memories include his daughter Karen ( Dennis) Tipple, his son, Randy (Bobbie) Wenger and his daughter Denise (Raymond) Rudy. His loving grandchildren, Kirby (Marji) Tipple, Amy Stump, Kelly (Lori) Tipple, Jennifer (Mark) Thornburg, Cary (Erin) Enicks, Rachel (Chad) Emrick, and Robert Wenger. Also including his step grandchildren, Scott Rudy (deceased), Robin (Rudy) Key, Sherry (Rudy) Morgan, Rick Rudy, Loretta (Rudy) Williams.
Glenn’s family includes great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Glenn was a member of the Hillgrove Federated Church. He served in the US Army Infantry storming Normandy in WWII. He was employed at Dairy Maid for 19 years as an ice cream distributor and employed at Union City Body company for 20 years.
In his retirement, Glenn enjoyed spending time with his family, drinking coffee and swapping stories and laughs with his old friends and new friends.
Glenn will be missed by the many lives that he touched.
The family will receive visitors from 12 noon to 2:00 pm on Friday, August 13, 2021, at Reichard Funeral Home, 400 West Deerfield Road, Union City, IN 47390.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Glenn's life will begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will take place at Teegarden Cemetery.
