Francis L Rose

Francis L. Rose, 79, of Union City Ohio passed away Sunday March 19th, 2017 at Reid Healthcare in Richmond, IN. He was born August 12, 1937 in Darke County, Ohio, son of the late Harold and Ruth Mote Rose.
Francis served in the US Navy on a Destroyer. He worked at Union City Body Company in the metal room for 42 years retiring in 2000. His true passion was horses, more specifically harness racing which he was involved with his whole life.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, John Rose of Union City, IN, Angel (George) Philip of Michigan; grandchildren, Treana Rose Piorun, Gina Dean, Brezzy Rose, Kenny Rose, Chris Rose, Alex Rose, Justin Rose and Karma Patterson; several great and great-great grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Rose Blevins of Kentucky; nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 49 years, Patricia A. Murphy Rose; children, Kevin Rose and Robert Rose; granddaughter, Holly Rose; and a brother, Larry Rose.
Visitation is 11:00 AM - 12 Noon Wednesday March 22, 2017 at the Reichard Funeral Home Inc., 400 W. Deerfield Rd., Union City, IN. Services are 12 Noon Wednesday also at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Union City Cemetery. Military Burial Rites will be conducted by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
