EDWARD J. HORN, 88, of Union City, Indiana passed away Monday September 21, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Ed was born July 30, 1927 in Union City, Ohio the son of the late Herschel & Margaret Cotter Horn. Ed was a Truck Driver for 38 Yrs; a member of the Teamsters; 50 Yr. Post # 158; 29 Yr. Elks #1534 both of Union City, Indiana; was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, loved camping, his family, and was a Sprint Race Car Driver (Midgets). Ed also served 8 years in U.S. Navy and Seabees.
  Survivors; Children, Sherry (Paul) Roberts-Independence, Ky., James (Sharon) Blackford-Kendallville, Indiana, Robbie Hunt-U.C., Indiana, Ted (Cheryl) Horn-Lakeland, Florida and Phil (Tammy) Hunt-Ona, Florida; 16 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; brother-in-law, Bob (Sharon) Bodie-U.C., Indiana.
  Ed was preceded by his parents; 1st wife, Pat McDougall Horn; 2nd wife, Phyllis J. Mangas Horn; a son, Dickie Blackford; a grandson, Tony; and a brother, Don Horn.
  Services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday September 25, 2015 at Reichard Funeral Home Inc. 400 W. Deerfield Road Union City, Indiana with visitation from 1:00 until time of the service.
