E. Anna Lee Carpenter, 73, passed away Monday Feb. 5, 2018 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. She was born October 15th, 1944 in Knoxville, TN to the late Clarence and Reba Stevens Case. Anna Lee worked at Crottinger's nursing home, several local restaurants where she was known as "Annie the Biscuit Maker," and her most cherished workplace was Nana's Day Care.
Anna Lee had a love for her family, the Lord, cooking, and leaves a hole that will never be filled.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Bill (Debbie) Lewis of U.C., IN, Deborah Lewis of Knoxville, TN, Joyce (Jerry) Hunt of Winchester, IN, Tina (Jose) Cantu of U.C., OH, Rob Hawes of Knoxville, TN; 19 grandkids, Joshua W. Lewis, Jessica Lewis, Crystal Lewis, Joshua N Lewis, Brittany Burkitt, Jamielyn Lewis, Casey Lewis, Brandon Lewis, Nicki Forsythe, Krista Lopez, Jose Cantu, Josh Cantu, Angela Peace, Elizabeth Cantu, Johnathon Cantu, Ryan Cantu, Jessica Hunt, Stephanie Mills, Jeff Thorton; 15 great grandchildren; countless nieces and nephews also.
Anne Lee is preceded by her parents; son, James Lewis "2015;" siblings, Sam Case, Clarence Case, Bertha Eldridge, Peggy Hipshire; the fathers of her children, W.T. Lewis "2018," and Gene Hawes.
Visitation is 11 A.M. - 1 P.M. Wednesday Feb. 14th, 2018 at the Reichard Funeral Home Inc, 400 W. Deerfield Rd., Union City, IN. Services are at 1:00 P.M. also at the funeral home with the Rev. Sonny Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville-Union Cemetery.
