Dorothy Jean Horine 95, of Union City Indiana, passed away on October 18, 2021 at University of Cincinnati Hospital West Chester. She was born on July 4, 1926 to the late Earl and Ruth Dunn (Thomas). She married Maurice Horine on June 13, 1954, and he preceded her in death. They were married 34 years.
Dorothy was a book keeper for Right Price in Union City. She loved being a part of the Wesleyan United Methodist Church and with the United Methodist Women’s groups. Her faith was very important to her. Her favorite way to spend time was with friends and family. She adored her granddaughters Annalisa and Allyson and spent as much time with them as possible. She was also a great dog sitter for her many “granddogs”. In her later years, she moved to Cincinnati to be close to her family. There she enjoyed taking walks as much as she could. She played Wii bowling and watched the Hallmark channel. She loved watching the Bengals football team, college basketball and enjoyed a cheeseburger and Dr. Pepper at the games. Dorothy was also a listener of big band music and hymns.
She is survived by her son, Mark (Sandi) Horine of Cincinnati, her brother Robert (Anne) Dunn of Indianapolis, her sister Margaret Perkins of Union City, foster grandson James Reed of Cincinnati, granddaughters: Annalisa Horine of Cincinnati and Allyson (Nathan) Lake of Ann Arbor Michigan.
