CYRIL âCJâ SMITH, 89, passed away Wednesday July 27, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Cyril was born June 8, 1927 to Raymond & Anna (Marchal) Smith. He was a salesman for Electro Lux Sweepers, Jewel T Dealer salesman, owned and operated the Pony Keg Carry Out in Union City, Ohio which became the Three Cables Restaurant for 25 yrs. retiring in 1997. C.J. loved people and talking to them, also fishing, and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 65 Yrs., JoAnn (Brown) Smith; children, Jerri (Duane) Dodd, Scott (Cinda) Smith, Kelly (Ramona) Smith; 9 grandchildren, Julie (Rod) Holden, Jodi (Dave) Haba, Joice (Kevin) Wise, Tina Neureuther, Laura Wenger, Chris (Julie) Smith, Kyle Smith, Kim (Dan) Trostel, Kyt (Matt) Hart; 2 step grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; 6 step great-great grandchildren; sister, Anna Jean Wooten; nieces and nephews also.
Preceded by; his parents; 5 sisters, Ruby Fullenkamp, Eileen Watercutter, Cecelia Young, Edna Wilt, Bernadine Deagle; 6 brothers, Raymond, Francis, Willard, Edgar, Norbert, and Herman Smith; also his beloved dog, Jasper.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Monday August 1, 2016 at Reichard Funeral Home Inc., 400 W. Deerfield Rd., Union City, IN. Services are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday August 2, 2016 also at the funeral home with George and Marie Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in the New Lisbon Cemetery, Union City, IN. Memorial Contributions maybe made to the Union City Ohio Fire and Rescue Squad or State of the Heart Hospice with envelopes at the Funeral Home.
