Charmaine June Thornburg

Charmaine Thornburg, 93, of Union City, Ohio, went to be with The Lord January 20, 2022 at American Heritage of Union City, Indiana.

She was born on January 26, 1928 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Harold & Meredith (Hart) Dunham. She was a faithful follower of Christ and a member of Community United Methodist Church where she actively served in many ways, including teaching children in Sunday School. She was employed for many years at Ha-Ste Manufacturing in Union City.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy (Dennis) Bussey, of Greenville, Ohio; three grandchildren, Bruce Bussey (wife Pam) of Clearwater, FL, Brenda (Jay) Johnson of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, and Melissa (Nathan) Shepherd of Greenville, Ohio. Her great grandsons include Devin Shepherd, Michael and Jack Johnson. Her beloved sisters are Josephine Michael of Winchester, Indiana and Jan Dunham of Union City, Indiana and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Arthur Thornburg in July 2002, her parents, loving step-mother Mildred Dunham, her siblings Phyllis Holsapple of Greenville, Duane Dunham of Union City, Sue Brown of Tyler TX, and brother-in-law Don (Pauline) Thornburg of Union City.
The family wants to thank EverHeart Hospice Care and American Heritage for the extra special care she received over the past two years.
A private family service will be held at the convenience of the family.
