Caroline S. Hankins

Caroline S. Hankins 78 of Union City, OH passed away on January 15, 2024, at Wayne Hospital.  She was born on July 2, 1945, to the late Lewis "Dynamite" Mikesell and Irma Thomas Mikesell.  She married Billy Hankins, and he preceded her in death in 2018.

Caroline was a nurse’s aide at the Center of Hope Nursing Home for 20 years.  She was also a member of Winchester Church of Christ.

Survivors include her children; Billy Ray (Kim) Hankins of Union City, IN, Wanda (Barry) Henninger of Arcanum, OH, Sandra Hankins (Adam Mendez) of Union City, IN, siblings; Donnie (Charlene) Mikesell of Greenville, OH, Terry Mikesell (Timothy Priestly) of Auburn, ME, Ellen (Gene) Snyder of Greenville, OH, Kathryn (Donald) Tackitt of North Port Florida, 6 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings Tom, Bradley, Sam, Larry, Lloyd, Joe Mikesell, Jane Herron, and Joan Brubaker.

Visitation will take place at Reichard Funeral Home 400 W. Deerfield Road Union City, IN on Thursday January 18, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Services to follow at 2:00 with pastor Bob Mormon officiating.  Burial will be held at Snell Cemetery in Union City, OH.
