Carl D. Hicks

Carl D. Hicks 74, also known as BoBo Banana nose, He was born July 18,1949 to William and Emma (Morgan) Hicks in Portland, Indiana.

He went to his forever home on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Ball Memorial Hospital. He spent a majority of his life working at Anchor Glass in Winchester Indiana for 45 years. He married the love of his life Kimberly Hicks (Moore) on October 18, 1986. They had 2 daughters, Jessica Hicks and Carla (husband Meciah) Holcomb; 5 Grandchildren, Carson Hicks, Brayden Holcomb, Emery Hill, Bailey Landis and Gunner Landis; he loved his puppies Brody, Peachies and grand puppy Hanky.

He wasn’t only a husband and a father but a brother to many siblings, 10 of them to be exact, William Hicks, Catherine Bessessen, Jerry Hicks, Edward Hicks, Darrell Hicks, Diana Debolt, Tom Hicks, Ronnie Hicks, Sharron Page, Debra K. Hicks.

“To know him was to love him.” 

He loved anything that had to do with being with family and McDonald’s. Whether it was spending his evenings with his wife and friends at McDonald’s, or at paradise point for family events. He loved any fair and camping. He was a jack of all trades to say the least, if you needed something he had it or he could find it for you. 

Visitation will take place from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Sunday September 17, 2023, at the Reichard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday September 18, 2023, also at the Reichard Funeral Home 400 W. Deerfield Road Union City, IN 47390. Burial will follow in the New Lisbon Cemetery.
