OCCUPATION: Owned and operated a gas station for 30 years, was county Clerk for 4 years, county auditor for 4 years and a county council member for 10 years.  Carl also served in WWII as a Staff Sergeant.

ORGANIZATIONS/CLUBS: Wesley United Methodist Church, Randolph County Democratic Party, Winchester Kiwanis Club, Winchester American Legion, Union City VFW, he also loved and enjoyed his family.

SURVIVED BY:  one son Richard (Connie) Gettinger of U.C., IN, son-in-law Allen Dye of Jacksonville, FL; Grandchildren; Leigh Ann (Mark) Schlegel of Cincinnati, OH, Christy Jo (Jim) Constande of Florida, Melissa Sue (Dave) Taylor of Portland, IN, Angela Jo (John) Cross and Richard Ryan Gettinger both of U.C., IN.  Nine great grandchildren and one great great grandson.  One brother James Gettinger of Greenville, OH.

SERVICES:  10:30 AM Tuesday April 19, 2011 also at the Funeral Home
