Bud Carrico, 81, of Union City, Indiana passed away Sunday June 19, 2022. He was at home and passed peacefully with his wife by his side. Over the years Bud fought many battles against cancer along with other illnesses. He always won those battles but sadly this was one he could not win.
He was born January 1, 1941 in Winchester, IN son of the late Homer Wesley and Theda Jane (Wolford) Carrico. In addition to his parents Bud was also preceded by a brother John Stanley Carrico.
Bud worked for his dad early in his life doing plaster work, then for Mote Construction, Westinghouse, Conrail and CSX Railroad where he retired from in 2006. He also served in the US Army from 1960-1963. He loved and was loved by his family and many, many friends, he will be missed very much.
Bud was married to Janey (Miller) Enicks on April 15, 1977 and she survives along with three daughters, Desiree Hardwick, Sonya Troutman and Robyn Cook; a sister Wanda McCarthy, sister-in-law Susie Carrico; six granddaughters Audriana, Megan, Allison, Kristen, Mackenzie and Maddi; and nine great grandchildren.
Visitation is Thursday June 23, 2022 from 5-7 PM at the Reichard Funeral Home Inc. with a service to follow. Burial will be held later at the convenience of the family.
Bud was a generous man so in lieu of flowers, interested people could continue his legacy by buying someone in need a gas card or food. Or also for those inclined Memorial contributions may be made to the Randolph County Indiana Cancer Society or donor's choice charity in Bud's honor.
