Barbara Marie Adkins

Barbara Marie (Bannon) Adkins, 65, of Union City, Indiana passed away Tuesday September 1, 2015 at St. Vincent’s of Randolph County Hospital. Barbara was born December 20, 1949 in Union City, Indiana the daughter of the late James Edgar & Myrtle Marie Davis Bannon. She worked as a nurse’s aide and also worked in several restaurants in Union City, attended the Nazarene Church in Union City, was a member of the Eagles #2790 Ladies Auxiliary, loved gardening, movies, reading, crocheting, and most of all spending time with her family and friends.
  She is survived by her children; Peggy (Phillip) Hollingsworth, Indpls., Indiana, Edwin (Paula) Adkins Jr. Union City, Ohio, Angela Adkins Davis (Joe Squillace) Winchester, Indiana, Larry (Kim) Adkins Union City, Indiana and Joe (Angie Suarez) Adkins Union City, Indiana; foster daughter, Amy Herrera, Winchester, Indiana; 20 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Judith Hawes Greenville, Ohio and Patricia I. (Dick) Johns Union City, Ohio; many nieces and nephews also survive.
  She was preceded by her parents; husband, Edwin Gene Adkins Sr. “1997;” 2 sisters, Janice Kreitzer and Marilyn Sue Emrick.
  Services will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday September 5, 2015 at Reichard Funeral Home Inc. 400 w. Deerfield Road Union City, Indiana. Calling will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Snell Cemetery.
