Ann Rumple

December 8, 1932 — March 17, 2011

  Ann Rumple, 77, 604 W. Lynn St., Union City, IN passed away Thursday March 17, 2011 at Parkview Hospital in Ft. Wayne, IN.  She was born to the late Don and Reba Sites Bousman on Dec. 8, 1932.  She graduated from Jackson Indiana High School in 1950.  She attended Ball State University for three years and was a substitute teacher in the Randolph Eastern school system and taught in the Title 1 program at North Side Elementary School.

  Ann was an active member of the Wesley United Methodist Church and past member of the Order of Eastern Star and Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority.  She volunteered at the Union City Community Help Center for many years and served on the Board of Directors.

  She is survived by a daughter Deborah MacDougall McManus (Gary) of Daleville, IN; a son William “Rob” MacDougall (Donna) of Manhattan, KS; two step-daughters Rita Rumple Weybright (Jack) of Lafayette, IN, Teresa Rumple Turner of San Diego, CA.  Also surviving are four grandsons; Rob MacDougall, Wes Fenton, Thomas McManus, and Jack Weybright III, seven granddaughters; Katie MacDougall, Sarah Buckner, Melissa McManus, Catherine Good, Allison Turner, Lizz McManus and Amanda Turner Shoaf.  Two great granddaughters; Eliazabeth Buckner and Lillian MacDougall, one great grandson Nathan Shoaf.  Two sisters, Betty Grimes (John) of Union City, OH, Jennie Kearns (Arvis) of Russell Springs, KY, and one brother Dick Bousman of Auburndale, FL.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband Ray MacDougall “1980,” 2nd husband Bill Rumple “2009,” her parents and two sisters Alberta Bousman and Berdina Oswalt.

  Visitation will be Sunday March 20, 2011 from 5-7 PM at the Reichard Funeral Home Inc.  Services will be held Monday March 21, 2011, 11:00 AM at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Union City with Rev. Don Brenneman officiating.  Burial will follow at the Lisbon Cemetery.

  Memorial contributions should be directed to the Wesley United Methodist Church or Hospice of Darke County with envelopes available at the Funeral Home.
