ALBERTA I. READ, 91, passed away Thursday August 18 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 5, 1925 in Dekalb County, Indiana to the late Clarence & Estella Wirt Brundige. Alberta was a homemaker and a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. She was active in church activities, loved to travel, enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Fredrick Read; sons, Terry Read of U.C., Indiana, Michael (Wendy) Read of Greenville, Ohio; 2 grandchildren, Alexandria and Grant Read.
She was preceded by her parents, step brothers and sisters.
Services are 11:00 A.M. Monday August 22, 2016 at the Trinity Lutheran Church with 1 hour of visitation prior to the services. The Rev. Chad Adamik will conduct the services. Burial will follow in Union City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church with envelopes at the church. Reichard Funeral Home Inc. entrusted with services. Online condolences may be expressed at www.reichardfh.com
